What does a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) do?

I treat the following;

  • Speech sounds (articulation and phonology)

  • Motor speech (e.g., Childhood Apraxia of Speech)
  • Language (the words we use)

  • Social Language Skills
  • Literacy

  • Voice

  • Stuttering

  • Augmentative Communication and Assistive Technology (Picture Symbol systems or high tech options)

I have experience with a wide variety of children with a wide variety of diagnoses including Down syndrome, autism spectrum disorder, apraxia of speech, and ADHD.
